The field template is a an option in the form builder designed to allow the form owner to save parts of his form as templates, thus enabling him to use these parts in the future.

SMS alerts are a great way to receive information and keep posted. Most people today carry their cellphone everywhere with them making it their main communication tool. FormLogix form builder is currently providing the opportunity to receive an SMS alert upon each data entry (In addition to the regular email alerts).
This feature requires a subscription and a purchase of an SMS bulk.

Tab index is one of form’s most important attributes in the form builder.
The tab index defines the order:
1- of the fields in the form (so the form filler can tab through them).
2- of the data in the emails sent to the form owner, form fillers and mailing list recipients.
3-of the data in the data management result table.

Form Expiration

Though usually the form’s expiration time is determined by the subscription period, there are ways to limit the form’s operating period.

Limit form submissions to one per user

There are certain forms in which you want to limit the user from being able to submit the form as many times as he wishes. This case applies to polls and surveys, for instance, where multiple submissions from the same user would tilt the results.
In order to prevent the user from submitting the form more than once you can use the ‘Force single row per user’ option in the form settings.

Here are steps to use the ‘Force single row per user’:
1- Enter your form in the form builder.
2- Go to its ‘form settings’ on the right.
3- Turn on the ‘Force single row per user’ checkbox and press ‘apply’.

4- Save the form.
Once a user submits the form one time he will not be able to reach the form again. If he tries to do so he will get an empty page.

The basics of creating an email form

Following are the basic and most important steps for creating a functional and esthetic email form:

1- Drag and drop elements
Choose the relevant elements for you and drag them on to the design area.

2- Layout and alignment
Since the layout is not rigid in the formlogix form builder you can place your elements anywhere you wish in the design area.
Use the alignment options to place your elements in perfect alignment (align top/bottom/left/right) and use the “make same height/width option to define equal spacing between elements.

3- Element settings
Select each and every element and enter the relevant information and settings for it. The most important setting that must be entered in the element “caption”.
The caption is the name of the element and will appear in different palaces: the emails, the data management tool report, the filters, etc.
Another important attribute in the element settings is the “tab index” with which you can define the order of fields when the form filler tabs through them (uses the “tab” key).

Apart from the mentioned above the element settings holds the width and height of the element, the capability to define a mandatory field as well as define the background, font color and add style code.

All that’s left now is to save the form, preview it and try it out before publishing the form and embedding it in your site.
